Nina Compton best explained that a few weeks ago.

They changed the menu to be more take out friendly, and it was hot for a week or so, and it would always die down. Nothing ever really worked

We loved our meals there as well as the interaction with the chef.

I said it wasn’t that great, I didn’t say it sucked.

I’m sorry they closed down but many other places have been replaced by better options.

It happens.

Well that doesn’t make a lot of sense.

No - the 25 limit is basically for parties and meetings. Bars are still at 25%, but no seating at the bar is allowed. Restaurants are still at 50%. I get what the guy is saying in his missive, but he's wrong on the new rules changing what he can do at the restaurant from a capacity standpoint. The lack of leadership on this is the real disaster.

You're the lone ranger on this one - guy was getting phenomenal reviews.

I've only sat at the food bar, which I think would be banned under the latest edict from LaToya.

Never been there, but from the pictures, it looks like the bar seating is about 50% of his capacity.
Hurts for sure, but he's got plenty of tables and patio seating too.
I get the feeling he's closing because he would rather not deal with this shite, and wants someone to subsidize him remaining closed.

Seems like food truck is the only government proof option nowadays. Thanks Democrats!

but could he retool to also provide family style carry out? Lots of places have done exactly that, with decent success.

Meh, that worked a well a little for some places in the beginning of this crap. Now with more people slowly going out to eat I don't think as many people care as much for picking up to-go food as much.

If left up the government, you might be correct. Which sucks.

Lack of leadership? Who knew?

What we have is a mayor and her mini-me Avegno who just yell at us and talk to us like we are little children without offering any solutions, and without taking into account the needs of the business community.

Who state as FACT that the protests Toya allowed and encouraged had no impact on a COVID uptick.

Who berate us about our white privilege.

frick THAT BISH.

It shouldn't be if they mandate food purchases and keep groups 6' apart. But, it appears they are just ready to shut down again. I get that the stress of running a restaurant under these circumstances can be too overwhelming.

Toya said no seating at bars, table service only.

Restaurants are trying to figure out if that applies to food bars like Gris Gris, Peche, etc. Toya ain't clarified.

Paying $15 for a burger & serving it with a Sysco mayo packet is a good way to get me not to try your food.

Making homemade mayo is so easy.
