Great news for the towel wrappers…

You don’t need to use your towels anymore!
I don’t see the need in wrapping in a towel if you’re putting it in an ice chest anyway, but I guess this gadget makes more sense. Although, I just let the insulated ice chest do it’s thing and skip all this foolishness.

maybe im a traditionalist but, there's nothing like wrapping a brisket in a towel then using that towel to dry yourself off after a shower for a week

Seems like it would be a pain to clean the grease

I agree. It says washable in the description. If you’re letting it rest for a short time, I get it I guess. If you’re using it in place of an ice chest, go for it. If you’re using it to replace a towel that goes in an ice chest, it’s dumb.

Are y’all really not just using moving blankets instead of towels?

I don’t use a towel. I think it’s idiotic and those who do use it only do it because they are following the crowd.

I find these work best. They really help bring out that deep beef flavor I crave. DM me for coupon code

I remember one of the first times I ever smoked a brisket I used an "old" towel that was apparently a guest bathroom towel. I never heard the end of it. Also the grease and smell never really came out after.
Now I just either rest in the ice chest, or in my electric smoker @ 140F depending on when I'm serving it.

Agreed, I just use my oven, or my gas grill. Both will hold 140°F all day long. I will use an ice chest to transport.

Remember when you posted this piece of fricking shite looking brisket with gelatinous blobs of unrendered fat? Perhaps you should consider wrapping one in a towel to help yield a product that is at least fit to eat. If nothing else try it in the interim until you learn to properly cook one.

all i know is i finished a brisket, wrapped in foil and towels then put into an ice cooler and took a road trip for 24 hours and when we got to the campsite, I took it out and the fricker was still burning my fingers when attempting to slice it.
it was like it just came off the smoker. everyone i was with was impressed.
i've been a loyal foil/towel/ice chest fan ever since.
