Good Ramen in BR

I ate at jinya a couple weeks ago, for the second time. And again, I didn’t find it that good. I’ve never really had traditional ramen, but it seems like something I’d love. Is Jinya not a great example in BR or is my taste buds not acclimated to “good ramen” yet?

Im the biggest fan of all things Asian food, but ramen just doesnt do it for me.

I don’t really care for Indian food either (curry), and I find that a lot of the bowls at Jinya had curry in it as well.

Try Boru at Red Stuck Social. They are among the best in BR. Maybe Umami but I don’t know if they still do ramen. Chow yum Phat too.

Chow Yum Phat is your answer. Going to pick up a Ronin for dinner.

Unrelated. And even though you didn't ask, Union Ramen in New Orleans is fantastic.

Pork belly ramen at tsunami is good. Especially on a cold day

This may be a hot take but Udon> Ramen.
Wish it was more available.

Curry isn't exclusively Indian food

Off topic, but isnt it weird how, whats thought to be the best ramen in the world, is done by an American in Japan. There was a Chefs table on him.

off topic as well... but I cant wait for it to get colder.
My go to lunch when its cold is the Sautéed Beef skillet at Drunken fish. It comes in cast iron bowl that is burning the wood its sitting on. It has rice on the bottom that crisp up with Beef marinated in house special sauce stir-fried with carrots, bell peppers, white onions, chili oil, garlic, and lemon grass on top.
Its fantastic and a little spicy.

Other posters have already told you that Boru and CYP are the best raman in town, so I can skip that and say: dear god, no, Jinya is not a great example of raman in BR.

Ditto, although I do want to go try it again and give it one more shot. I think I'm too hooked on Pho, so I keep expecting the flavors of Pho and I'm always disappointed by the different flavor profile.
