Passing through in about an hour on way to Venice to fish tomorrow. Looking for something casual with good food and specifically some oysters. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Is drago’s casual? We’re dressed pretty casually.

Not a problem. Don’t miss the charbroiled oysters!

Drago’s is extremely casual. It also sucks for literally everything but oysters. So as long as you just order that you’re Golden.

Underrated place. Oysters, and most other things are great.

Board probably hates this place. It’s definitely tourist food. The coterie has the best oysters in the city. Not quite on the way to anything.

Don’t know what to tell you.

Drago’s charbroiled oysters are the GOAT.

Otherwise they are warmed over dogshit. I don’t think I’m being hyperbolic. I can’t think of another restaurant that is so spectacularly good at one dish and so subpar on most other things.

I agree with you. The only reason to go to Drago's is chargrilled oysters. I would recommend them to anyone.

Fried seafood is on par with others which is a highlight of their menu as it is with other Seafood/creole restaurants eggplants sticks are good, onions rings good, gumbo, other soup dishes good.

Fish dishes are done well.

No idea about their pasta dishes

Not a lobster person but everyone I have been with enjoys them

Never had a poboy there

RBR is pretty good too

It’s a Mr. Ed’s, Acme Oyster, Don’s type place with a larger menu.

So, don’t agree with you.
