I'm over the absurdley sweet beers. Grand Isle was disgusting to me. There was no tartness and it was so sweet it hurt my stomach. At least use real lime if you claim beer has lime in it.

Not sure how you got that since every brewery in the state is making haze. Parleaux, parish, rally cap, Nola, urban south, great raft, all relation, tin roof, breux carre, etc... not to mention the out of state breweries that brew hazy beers.

I had some first pitch and some peach milkshake ipa from Rallycap this week and I think they’re both really good. The peach milkshake isn’t too sweet. Gotta get more Rallycap stuff

It’s a discussion thread for others to give their opinions on the state of beer. Not sure why that bothers you.

I like first pitch. Wasn’t a big fan of the peach, but I’m not big into the milkshake stuff. Not am I a fan of fruited IPAs. I think rally cap is making some pretty good beer, but they also brew mostly hazy beers. They did state they were making a west coast ipa in the coming weeks, which I hope is awesome.

Another haze beer I really miss, was a ghost in the machine early batch. It was so dank that it smelled almost like weed. I specifically remember it because we were heading to a buddy’s bachelor party in lake chuck and stopped by parish along the way. I picked up a growler and a few 4-packs. I want to say it was batch 12 or something. This may have been pre-new yeast, so about 4 years ago? Between that and the hop explorer from Whole Foods, those are the haze beers I chase when I try to make my own. I’m not there yet.

Parish perfectly describes the issues in the OP. Heavy emphasis and reliance on hazy IPAs with DDH 3DDH 4DDH, purée beers, almost no differentiation in their offerings, too much advertisement of hop varieties, and generally lack the ability to make anything else

They are a brewery with that issue, but not the one that prompted this thread. More breweries than not, are guilty of multiple indistinguishable haze offerings, or pulpy sours.

I do remember a time when opus vert, bloom, and ghost actually varied in flavor.

Parish makes a good stout and pilsner.... That is more than some other breweries make at least....

You walk in you have Canebrake, Pilsner, Envie, Southcoast, and then you start getting the haze, sips, and stouts
