How does the forum like to do them?

Pretty basic here. Take them out of their natural juices, dip then in fine corn meal seasoned with Slap Ya Mama, black pepper and a little garlic powder and go directly into 350 degree oil and fry until golden brown.
Don't crowd the pan with too many oysters or the oil can cool down too much, and when done, put them on a cooling rack, not on paper towels.

LA Fish Fry Lemon is my go to, simple and quick

This has tended to be similar to what I have done. However, I saw a video of someone soaking them in milk and Tabasco before breading them. I was wondering if anyone has tried something like that

Nothing really wrong with soaking in milk/tabasco.
Buttermilk would be better, if you go that route.

If they are fresh in their own juice put as little batter as possible, and just flash fry them. They are too good on their own. If they aren't fresh or not very salty milk/Tabasco not a bad route.

Absolutley glorious provided they are served hot. I go to one place that puts them on a buffet and they suck lukewarm and cold.
Gotta get off the fried and such these days however.

I prefer lightly coated in a lightly seasoned corn flour.
I'll sometimes add a few dashes of Crystal Garlic hot sauce before breading.
Season the corn flour with just a little salt. Flash fry at 360* and don't dry them out by frying too long.

As soon as they float in a deep fryer they are done.

Another vote for corn flour .
Follow the advice of cooling rack and not paper towels. On anything fried.

I drain them, add a little hot sauce, black pepper and salt if needed. Add small amount of mustard and dredge in fish fry and corn meal mixture. I like the oil around 370-375 to start.

I like them however Louisiana Lagniappe does them. Not sure what they use, but it isn’t corn meal. Either corn flour or flour. Pretty light coating.
I’ve not fried them at home in ages, but now I’m wanting to.

Unless you use burned oil all the above methods work.
