Are they in season? If so, best place for jumbo to boil this weekend? Thank you.

I guess that would depend on where you are located.

After some point in size you need to devein a shrimp...I’d rather boil the ones just under that size.

Tony's or Rouse's - I like shrimp somewhere around 30/lb size for boiling - regardless of the size the worst thing you can do is overcook them -

Tony's or Rouse's - I like shrimp around 31/35 for boiling - whatever size you get, do not overcook them -

How much you looking to buy and how far you willing to travel?

To each their own. I prefer 16/20s for boiling. Lucky for me I’m down in Dulac a couple times a month, so shrimp is usually cheap and fresh.

And so easy to tell the IQF from fresh caught. The IQF very seldom have their long "feelers" coming from their heads since the usually break off in the freezing process.
Dead giveaway they are IQF's.

I bought from them when I was in Hammond for a while after Katrina and found them to have great prices and quality product.
Now, long back in N.O., I just head over to Westwego's Seafood Lot off the West Bank Expwy. and get my seafood from there now.
