Any can't miss items/drinks etc?

Do they valet?

UPDATE:

So went last night and got there right around 7:00 for my reservations. Quickly seated and asked if we would like a drink.

Based on people's suggestions we were leaning towards the sweetbreads but asked our server if she had any suggestions. Her first suggestion was the sweetbreads as well so we ended up getting it. This was my first time having sweetbreads and I wasn't overly impressed. Was a mild buffalo sauce w/ meat that had the consistency of gnocchi. You couldn't really taste the meat, just the sauce, but I wasn't really a fan of consistency of the meat. Maybe I'll need to try them again somewhere else w/o any sauces.

For entrees we got the beef cheeks and the pulled pork. The beef cheeks were excellent. I like anything braised especially beef. I wish there was a little more potato puree for the amount of the cheek medallions, but there was still a good bit.

The pulled pork cakes were actually very good. I don't typically get pulled pork b/c I can make it so easily at home and the one time I did order it out (Cochon), I wasn't overly inspired. Their pork on the other hand was very good.

We did not get a dessert but had 2 glasses of Pinot Noir each and got out of there for $150 all inclusive.

Their antipasti plate is the real deal. Awesome homemade sauces and pickled goodies. First time I ever had a pickled egg.

Buffalo style sweetbreads are awesome IMO, but some people here aren't a fan because they are admittedly a bit overpowered by the frying/buffalo sauce.

Beef cheeks and pork shoulder are my favorite entrees.

They make a good Corpse Reviver if gin is your thing.

I seem to recall that Kristen Essig is either consulting on or helping out with food over there now, so no doubt it should be good.

The cheeks. WITHOUT QUESTION.

Buffalo sweetbreads are also pretty good.

I had the best collard greens ever sitting at the bar there once. I've had the pork shoulder, sweet breads and the fish specials they were running and all have been excellent.

Sit outside if you can and park in the lot next to Jax Brewery and walk two blocks to the restaurant.

Has the quality suffered since the chef left to start Angeline?

Yup. I'm one who doesn't care for this presentation, and I love sweetbreads.

I'm a sucker for liver, so I always start with the chicken liver crostini. After that, it's hard to pass up the beef cheeks. The bar manager really knows his stuff, and if I'm eating alone I usually opt for the bar.

I like the shaved brussels sprout salad.

Please come back and update this thread (I don't need photos or anything)...I hate how these things always disappear.

I don't think sweetbreads are technically 'meat'.

That's my "beef" with this dish.
