File for gumbo

I grew up in Laplace, so I was always able to pick up a container of home ground file for gumbo. Places like Jacobs or Don's Country Store usually sold them in baby jars throughout the year.
Now living in Baton Rouge and not driving that way as frequently, I was wondering if anyone or place around here sold home ground file in a similar fashion.

Growing up ours was always in a baby food jar. Strange, I know.

Gaston same for us. We had a family friend who made it. When we had our first kid we would save the baby food jars. My dad would bring them to the old man for his file.

He was normally making it onsite too with a big wooden mortar and pestle. Haven’t seen him lately.

I got my last baby-food jar of it in Laplace as well. Had to buy some Zatarain's yesterday, and it was hard to find at Kroger.
I'm gonna ask a relative to look for some at the Colfax Pecan Festival next month. They usually have a vendor.

Another vote for Red Stick Spice. If you want it, Ann probably has it.
