F&2BD: Sierra Nevada Hoptimum; took some speck fillets out the freezer and fixing to fry up for the wife and little ones.

Hoptimum dates 5/6/15. Kind of old, but fresher than the 4/1 bottles I've been finding everywhere else. One of my favorite DIPAs, so I picked some up. Holding up pretty well considering.

Agree. And I always do it to myself. I pass on stuff like Hop Hunter and Hoptimum, which hold up well, and end up with a maltier tasting, more "rare" IPA that is actually dated more recent.

Something about back to the basics I need to follow.

FBD-Stone IPA. Heading to Petco Park shortly, with promises of a much better selection.

ETA-not to sound ungrateful, fresh Stone is pretty damn good

We are getting blue pants now. Anything to look out for? They've got a peanut butter stout available that I'll probably grab.

FBD is the first crack of my home brewed Oktoberfest.

This one shows off the clarity. Cleanest beer I've ever brewed.

Nice malt subtlety with some English hops for bittering, and a touch for dry hopping. Next time I'll add more in the dry hop.

Damn, Bug. That's one beautiful beer.

No beeyahs today. May sneak a bourbon later. Maybe. Did get a line on a couple North Carolina tekus that are being shipped my way. That's fun, I guess.

Only BD is a crowler of Pussy Wagon batch 2 that I got from List. I've been trying to drink this for a few days but haven't had a chance. This is much better than batch 1 to me, especially on the nose. EZ-7 may still be my favorite Brash beer, but this is close.
