So I fried chicken. And then I ate it. And while it was frying I was really puzzled why my thermometer wasn't reading properly. So after eating I went and checked it out -- the fricking bulb was broken. So I ate chicken that had been frying with a fricking broken thermometer.

So I did some googling, it's a spirit filled thermometer as apparently mercury isn't a thing anymore (I didn't know that). Am I gonna die?!

Or does spirit filled mean it'll just help me catch a buzz.

I'm, uh, asking for a friend?

FBD - Prairie Ale. One of my favorites.

SBD - Parish 2012 Grand Reserve

Very smooth and mellow. The dark fruit is really shining at this point along with nice caramel malts. Booze is very subdued, no oxidation. Kinda thin on finish, but really easy to drink. Not sure if it's getting better, but it's very nice right now.

Have you had '12 out of the bottle lately? It seems to do better in the bottle than in kegs, maybe that is me though

No, spirits. Keep up, jabroni. Aroma was delicate, a nice spice from the sriracha grounded with some earthiness from the cilantro. Very moist and tender across the palate. The taste delivered on the aroma, but with a nice citrus bite from the lime that was in the brine.

Now answer the fricking question

NBD: DFH Bitches Brew

I saw the show about how this beer was brewed. Never had the chance to try it.

My favorite stout. Like better than Ten Fidy, Founder's Breakfast or Santa Fe Java.

Fbd. Prytania Porter.

Haven't been out in so long, especially Pelican. The workers were like "thought you were dead"

I don't think so. I had it on tap at GR Day, but don't remember specifics.

Had a bottle back in Aug/Sept and then on tap for GR Day. Two different reactions to the beer.

The bottle was exactly like you described. Really blew me away.

This is fantastic. Took a go-rowler home. The nose is pretty amazing at only 6.5% ABV

NBDs: NOLA/Stone ipa

Nose isn't loud and smells like a summer morning , extremely cloudy, light in the mouth, strawberry on the front with a bitter finish that lingers. Fruit burps follow. Hard to believe this has a 8.2 ABV. I'd give it a solid 4.20.

Not getting any onion which I've heard from someone on MG day.
