Man you can be as trashy as you look, I never had an opinion of you before but I guess trash is trash.
Again though you are choosing to only remember what you will since even when I first started posting people posted about being at Chimes, The Bulldog, etc. But hey it is ok to remember things a certain way, it is like when parents say, "Things were better in my day."

Oh I'm not worried about that, I don't fit into the clique.... Let me say that upsets me so.....
You get mad over what people are posting in what has always been an IM beer thread, yeah a real winner

He's too busy drinking the good shite from the back of the bar to attend anyways.
I agree with you though, this thread was to talk about the beer we are having, brag a little, of course, and learn about new beers.
And while we've certainly had people get sideways before, the thread was free from trolling.

I'm not sure there is much trolling from people who post often.

honest question, because I'm guilty of this on the rare occasion I venture outside of my house to drink beer, but is it ok (non-trashy) to include info like what bar you are getting a certain beer at or if you are personally visiting a brewery or some such?

Back when the threads were good it was ok, now it is just trolling.

Thay was pretty damn funny.

I admit to being an instigator back in the cut in this thread. Man I had some fricked up days on the beach and at music festivals. Some found it entertaining, others found it trolling. I'm not sure exactly what I was doing.
I personally love to come here when r2r posts a new beer to him. That dude really does a good job describing it, good or bad.

I agree.
This reply is to everybody:
Guys, many of you know that I've been in these threads since the beginning. Because of FBD threads I've learned so much about beer, "tasted" countless great beers, and met many great people. So many great people are in my life now that I would have never met if not for FBD. Even my wife likes many of you!
But this thread really went to shite. Like others said, it is difficult to keep IMing and cutting up out of the threads when so many of us know each other IRL, but there is no need for the insults, etc. that have become commonplace. I know that the threads can't be free from chit chat, but can't we keep them free of insults and other OT-like stuff?
That is all.

Guess I'm still too new to or don't pay attention enough to the FBD threads to know if this is being sarcastic or not, but I like posting where I might be enjoying something on tap. Especially now that I'm living in the Houston area, figure it might be helpful to others who may be wondering what beers are where on draft.
Rarely am I able to access some whale of beers, though, so maybe it's useless info.
The only posters I've met in real life are Ham and Tigerfootball. They were nice enough guys, but to a large extent, the anonymity seems nice.

I never thought it was a problem, actually appreciate it. I am learning new things today though.

Seems like kim agrees with me.

I don't think just posting your location is what was meant to be the problem (and I don't think it's an issue at all because it can be useful to notify someone that something may be available at a given location).
I think what was meant is posting your location and repeatedly saying that anyone and everyone is welcome to join them is the problem.
I have no problems with saying im having a beer at growlers in Houston, because maybe you're looking for that beer and you'll be in the area in a day or two.
But me saying "hey rajuncajun, come have a beer with me, I pulled out a whale to bring, I'm waiting in the corner with the green shirt."
*no response*
"Hey guys I'm at growlers and pulled out a whale, anyone can come. Green shirt".
That, may be excessive.
