Skipped all alcohol yesterday and that went surprisingly ok. Vodka tonics for me today though.

FBD- found this in my keezer, not sure how it survived the great Deschutes purge I did a couple years ago. It was always my favorite Deschutes product.
Before I opened this I was thinking I would hate it and that the Northwest should stay to doing girl sports, like foxy boxing and hot oil wrestling, and leave the beer making to Colorado. Cant believe I am saying this but I still like this beer. It has minimal oxidation, nose is dark fruit and taste is dark fruit with burnt sugar. I wouldn't seek it out and it won't be for everyone but I am a fan.

I don't share your aversion to all things Deschutes, but I don't really care for their Pas or IPAs. There is just something about the ones I've tried (Red Chair, Fresh Squeezed, Chasin' Freshies, etc) that doesn't do it for me. I know others love them, but I am not a big fan. The Abyss, however, I really enjoy.

4BD was a mid-tier IPA on Nacho Tuesday.
LBD is a 2012 Brooklyn Monster. Shame they discontinued this one.

Haven't tried much of their stuff, but do have a Black Butte and a Mirror Mirror on hand. Waiting for the proper time to try them.

Month old truck stop coffee with all the roastiness of cigarette ashes served in a glass that someone used to drink $5 a handle bourbon in a week ago is how I would describe the taste of Abyss.

I like Black Butte and those variants better than Abyss.

The BB Anniversary beers are quite good. I like Abyss a little more than 8thyear does.
