I like them seared or fried, but only Bay Scallops. Never cared for Sea Scallops.

I thought bay scallops was slang for stingray "cubed" to resemble a scallop.

Have to be careful with that. Many of them are, but the real deal are very good. It is more common for Sea Scallops to be shark or ray rather than the real deal. These are abductor muscles and should be stringier than the fakes which tend to be little pucks without striation.
