Gents, It’s an early start to the weekend for me. After working 7:30-11:00 yesterday, I was able to get off work at 2 today and run up to the Northshore to try my latest Homebrew fresh from the keg. A 6% NEIPA with 100% Sabro hops.
It’s straight candy peach rings. Aroma, flavor, everything. This is my new favorite hop and I’m glad I ordered another pound when I tried this at kegging. It’s glorious.
It’s no shock that the only commercial brew I’ve seen/tried with Sabro is the awesome new release by Nola, Forklift Joyride, an Imperial New England with Guava and Lactose. It’s hopped with Sabro and Cashmere, another amazing hop presenting stonefruit, melon, and light tropics.
Sabro is one of a few select hop varieties that are of the (genus?) neomexicanus that are all 100% native to the U.S. I’m excited to play around with this...
ETA: neomexicanus, not neomexicans.

SBD is a Snoball Juice tasted against the Homebrew. Name of Homebrew forthcoming.
Same ABV, same style. Mine is a shade or two darker because Brewstock was getting bought out and I subbed a TOUCH of crystal for a small amount of Maris Otter I normally use. I’ll go back to my standard grain bill for the next festival batch.
I’m not going to say which one I like better...

No, not 100% sure yet. It’s right after we get back from Washington DC Mardi Gras. Have to remind the wife.

Looks good. I have one on tap right now with Sabro hops. Still have a 1/2 pound on hand for a future brew. Cheers!

FBD is a Pono Brewing Hazy and Chill IPA. Never had a beer by these guys before. It's okay. Looked it up, and they've been in business since 2013. Too many breweries. Can't keep track of them all. 1st world problems...
