FBD - Off early so I’m poppin’ some cans!

Got off work early today, so I figured I’d start making some headway on an ever growing stock of beer.
FBD is Cloudy and Cumbersome NEIPA by Levante courtesy of UyC.
This beer is very different from your every day New England. It’s not exceedingly bitter like most, but the hop character is insanely mild — teetering on underwhelming. I get this kind of like NEIPL kind of vibe from it which I think is from both wheat/oats and some Idaho 7 hops which is giving a sweet spice/Noble hop quality in addition to the light tropics and orchard fruit. It smells intensely malty going in on my final sips here. Sweet bread and honey with faint traces of mild fruit. It’s super refreshing and not too sweet, so I’m all in, but not what I expected.

fricking wish I was!
I’ll be at Coot’s watching hopefully from a good seat after watching the Poirier/Khabib fight earlier.
SBD is the same base beer but DDH and Peach! Also from Curdsy.
This one drinks similarly in that’s is super crushable and more dry than sweet, but the extra dry hopping coupled with the peach(es) packs an intense punch on the nose! It smells like the best version of peaches we all have in our heads. Super juicy on the palate, but fades rather quickly to a clean aftertaste. I get more mango/pineapple from the hops this time around. Good base, but a fantastic fruited DDH version. Shocker, right?

Joining you guys.
Decided to bite the bullet and pack up the family to go to Hill Farmstead. It took some negotiation but it was worth it. Beautiful place, terrific beers, amazing weather. Little one played with another baby and a puppy and enjoyed a black bean taco.
FBD - Susan

Then got some stuff to bring back to the cabin and headed out.
