Trying to get on a healthy kick so I steamed some fresh corn on the cob then some cauliflower. A little salt and pepper on then and it was great. What's your go to veggies?

I can't say I've ever had a vegetable that was better steamed than sautéed, roasted, or grilled.

Broccoli

The only vegetable I've found to be better steamed than using any other cooking method.

I agree. Definitely more flavor and texture when grilled, but if I had to choose one vegetable to steam, it would be broccoli.

When done, sprinkle with a bit of sea salt, black pepper, drizzle with olive oil and some vinegar and have at it. If I want a bit of sweetness, I'll use Balsamic vinegar, but if I want some heat, I'll use my habanero pepper infused vinegar.

I prefer them lightly steamed then serve with butter, salt and pepper. Corn, asparagus, beans and broccoli.

Roasted beets, spaghetti squash and Brussels sprouts.

Saute at high heat for a couple of minutes then cover and steam.

Cauliflower with a cap of crab boil, then sprinkle slap your momma on it with a side of melted ghee. I can eat the whole thing.

If I do steam, it'll be broccoli. Otherwise, as others have said, I prefer to grill, roast or sauté.

Are you afraid of fat?

If you can avoid steaming them and eat them so they have robust flavor (adding fat), you’ll do more than just go on a healthy kick (temporary inconvenience to possibly lose some weight). You’ll eat them every day.

I like veggies. Why would I want to destroy their flavor and lose their nutrients by steaming them?
