Yeah, best part is I scored this bottle at the regular retail price. Got lucky.

You should definitely share that with your friends.

I don’t think I’d pay much more than retail to buy that stuff.

Check out Ben Milam from Blanco. Solid whiskey as well as rye for the price point.

The fact that Garrison Brothers is the most suggested is telling. Call a spade a spade; Texas whiskey is shite.

Just accept it and grab some Willett, Eagle Rare, Weller, Belle Meade, Calumet, George Stagg, and so on and just be done with it. The Kentucky and Tennessee products are simply vastly superior.

You drink your swill while I sit at the camp sipping on some Angels Envy. The nectar of the gods.

At least Garrison Bros actually has the chops to distill their own shite instead of having to buy it from Indiana and still charge you premium “small batch” prices cause they made a cool bottle.

Not that angels envy is bad....

Four Roses single barrell for me.

I do like the tx whiskey blend also. The distiller is a young guy who comes from Kentucky.

Texas whiskey is simply subpar. Balcones is the best one.

Black Falcon single barrel from Mountain Hunt TX is simply the best

Not impressed at all with my bottle. Really harsh going down.

I had a similar experience. There seems to be a lot of variation in their distilling.

Just like Mardi Gras comes from Mobile, but who does it better?

Texas does whiskey a lot better than Kentucky.
