Looking for some new places to try around Kenner, Metairie, River Ridge, etc.

Any cuisine is welcome.

Some places I already know are Harbor Seafood, Ben’s Burgers, Come Back Inn, Taqueria Sanchez, Drago’s, R&O’s, etc

Is Don Jose’s in Kenner the same as the one in Baton Rouge?

I don’t get the love for Akira! Went once with my girlfriend who is Vietnamese and received possibly the worst service in my 26 years of living.

Pho Bang, in the same strip mall as the aforementioned Casa Garcia & Fuji sushi (never been to either one of those)

Falafel King, on Vets across from Clearview mall. Brick oven flatbreads, excellent falafel, some changing daily specials

+1 on Parenton's and Seither's

Am I the only person under 75 who goes to the Martin Wine Cellar deli? (seems like it) MWC still has solid sandwiches, and the pandemic forced them to have a decent online order/payment system. You can put in your order, pay, & it's ready for pickup at the counter.

I go sometimes and agree it's solid. They get a big crowd for Friday lunches.
I remember the brunch being pretty good as well.
