Got a set of cast iron skillets for a wedding gift last week, what’s your favorite meal to cook?

Got an 8 and 12 inch skillet. Also got an 8 quart pot.

TIA

My grandmother has an extremely simple skinless fried chicken recipe that is fricking amazing. It has to be cooked in a cast iron skillet with a small amount of canola oil.

Use for roux.

Small for cornbread. Get a 1/4 stick of butter smoking in the pan in the oven, pull it out, swish it around, pour in the cornbread mix and bake it.

Taco meat, Bacon, Scrambled eggs.

It's hard to beat a big thick Filet soaked in butter in a cast iron skillet. It's also hard to beat a big fresh tuna steak. Those are probably two of my favorites.

Bacon and potatoes. Cut the potatoes into small pieces and fry them in the bacon grease.

Steak in butter, or blackened redfish. Can't beat fried cornbread either. Do like Bullfrog said and melt a stick of butter until brown and bubbling, then add your cornbread mix and put it in the oven. You need to learn how to make cathead biscuits baw

Can't believe no one has said spaghetti sauce yet.

Try it.
