Ghost is the beer that I crave the most. I drink Envie pretty regularly. I drank a six pack of Commotion last week and thought it was pretty damn good. I also like Abita Wrought Iron. IMO, it's the best thing Abita has put out as a mass produced beer, maybe ever. If I'm eating rice and gravy of some sort, then it's South Coast. I do enjoy a good Turbodog often as well though. I drink a lot of beer. The most exciting part of my day today will be going to Rouses and selecting approx 1.5 cases from assorted six packs of beer for a hiking/camping trip in Arkansas this weekend.

I agree, but when I can't get any a Commotion can fill my taste for a good bitter (I'm sure there is a superior word for this, but )

Ghost in the Machine Is still #1 for me. But close second are NOLA Coffee Lacto ICS, Opus Vert, and NOLA House of the Rising.

In all seriousness, I went to Cuban on Perkins last weekend and was surprised to see so many Louisiana beers.

I didn't buy any except Envie because Parish and Great Raft are about all anyone talks favorably about. I just assumed everything else they had there was not much good.

I think I may like Envie more than Ghost. It is just damn drinkable!

Interesting.

I'm more and more realizing there are times when I just don't want a giant hop bomb, so pale ales are a nice IBU dropoff while still offering good flavor.

I don't know if you're kidding or not, but that's not a totally unreasonable statement.

You literally asked for a favorite, singular, then listed three.

I can't.

I love DIPA's but sometimes a good old fashioned Abita Amber hits the spot for me.

Hell, it shouldn't even be in the same sentence as Envie imo.

That's just silly, and I like both beers.

When they're on they are on. When they're off, well, garbage juice would be a kind word for it.
