BMC (technically "American Light Lagers") are intended to be served as cold as possible, so yes, a frosted mug would be appropriate here.
Most ales and lagers should be served at cellar temp to allow flavors and aromas to properly present themselves, so yes, a room temp glass is better suited to the task.

Wastefulness is bad, yes. But if my order is going to take another 30 minutes it's nice to have something to munch on in the meantime. If the order comes out in 5 minutes I'm not going to eat the chips. Sue me.

Wait - are you complaining about the people at your table? If so, maybe you should...I don't know...talk to them. Maybe ask if they mind if you go ahead and order because you're impatient or starving or whatever. Maybe they'll order something at the same time. Maybe they won't. Chances are they'd prefer to talk amongst themselves while you eat rather than listen to you complain about everything in the interim.

I never thought about it that way. Think how stressful it would be to dine with some people here.
Certainly, there are things in the dining arena that people prefer to avoid, the major one being poor service and food that doesn't taste good. I guess that could be a peeve of mine, but it happens rarely, so maybe not.
Everyone has preferences, but I can't say mine make me insane. I'd rather the butter for the bread be soft rather than ice cold, but I'm not going to need therapy if it's hard and cold. And, as you know, I prefer that all the juicy items on my plate not run altogether, but neither of those things ruin my dining out experience. I would simply enjoy the dishes more if they weren't plated that way. Depending on where I'm dining, I might skip the mashed or ask for something on the side.
I don't care how other people order their food or what they put on it. I care more than they enjoy their meals and it's nice when they don't talk with a mouthful of food or spray it when they're talking, but geez, we could all sit around think up things like that which is silly.
I don't care if there's ketchup on the table. Most seafood dives are going to have it there. I love Casamento's and there's always ketchup on the table.
When I go out to dine, I don't start looking around the room for things that may lead me to believe the meal isn't going to be good. I go in expecting it to be good unless something happens to prove otherwise, in general. THAT would ruin my meal.

I'm not a big fan of it on mine, but I can't fathom how it would possibly affect my dining experience one iota if I happen to glance across the dining room and notice you enjoying it on yours.

Thing that bugs me the most is when my drink is empty (before I receive my entree) and the waiter asks do you need a refill? I fell like answering no i only drink while not eating, or Im only allowed one drink per night. When a waiter fills a drink without asking, I can tell they will be good.

I don't get what's wrong with a wait person asking if you'd like more of that drink. What if the diner doesn't want more or wants to switch to something else? I never drink more than one glass of tea with a meal. I switch to water after the tea. Giving me more would be a waste.

How someone chooses to enjoy their meal is never an issue for me. People like what they like and I think some things that are considered off beat or peculiar can be kind of interesting.
What I don't like is when your entrée is brought out too soon after the appetizers, drinks like unsweetened ice tea that are refilled too infrequently or frequently so you have to keep adjusting the sweetener, being served cold French fries or cold fried anything.
As for other diners, it freaks me out when someone blows their nose at the table in a restaurant, it's disgusting. Someone taking a big huge bite of food is also gross, and someone chewing with their mouth open.. or sharing food from the same plate.. Personal quirks that creep me out.

Servers who can't handle timing the food properly and rush the pace of the meal or bring items out in non standard order for the sake of speeding up the meal
