This is concerning. Subway is the equivalent of eating a piece of loose leaf paper

This is serious business. How often do you eat Publix subs?

Publix Subs

Consistently decent and nothing more.

Except their tuna salad which is total crap.

I always liked Quiznos.

I did too, but I also found the prices to be a bit too steep

I wish there was more deli mom & pop shops around. I am a big fan of po-boys before eating fast food sandwich shops. But, we lack deli’s down here in the south. This is all I can come up with.

Martin Wine Cellar
Francesca’s
Kajun Kosher Deli
Stein’s Market

Lennys should be tier 3 and Schlotzskys should be tier 2. Also Publix is good but extremely overrated.

the philly at jersey mike's is pretty good.

Imo it’s the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to a few of the famous spots in philly.

Agreed, even though I’m a big Publix homer in general and enjoy many a chicken tender pub sub. Their fried chicken is outstanding but their bread kinda sucks and a lot of their sandwiches need some type of personalization (eg getting the tenders on the chicken tender sub tossed in buffalo sauce) to make them truly good.

I’d say value at least puts Publix in tier 2.

I rarely eat at those places but the only ones that stood out were Lenny's in Destin and Quiznos back around 2001-2005. I can make better at home easily. They are not like a burger place that might have a unique flavor you can't reproduce at home.
