If you don't believe me, go pick some up if you haven't had them in awhile. 
Toasted until slightly brown, real butter and maple syrup and you just consumed a crumb of ambrosia fallen straight from God's breakfast plate.

I actually cook my in the skillet. Zap them in the microwave or let them sit out to thaw, slather them in soft butter and fry them in the skillet. So damned good

I haven't had waffles in a coon's age, but now I'm craving some. I may pick up a pack and some steen's on the way home.

Eggos blow. Only use they had for me was a pregnancy craving for my wife.

The best part is that bite from the center of the 4th waffle down in the stack in the middle, that got buttered then stacked. You get just a little bit of syrup to balance the savory butter with sweet from the plate, but mostly just toasted eggo saturated with butter.
