I'll cop to being a gawker in the beer aisle and the spices aisle. I only go a couple of times a year and like to try some new stuff that we don't have (or it's too much trouble to find) here.

"Whole Paycheck"

But they do have a fantastic lunch and salad area that changes a little every day. One of my favorite lunch sources.

When I used to work closer to Whole Foods, a staple lunch for me was 2 slices of pizza for $5. That was a good deal. If I had a little extra cash, I would get a prepackaged salad. If I didn't have extra cash, I would just scarf some free cheese samples.
The soups are damn good too and the prices are right. But be careful with the packaged sides and sushi. Those things can add up.

It's a store. People have kids. They don't all get sitters to go to the store.

Oh come on. If you've never had a bunch of people gawking in your way at whole foods, I question whether you've been to true wf I've been to. In fact, drive there right this minute and try to navigate around the store without people lingering in the way.

Again, it's a store. People look around at stores. I look around in WF every time I go. There are supposed to be people in stores looking. I've been to WF many times. I have a lot of experience going to stores and looking. I don't consider it "gawking". I call it "shopping".

I don't go to Wally World much because of the meat selection. It's a store, also, though. There are people there.

It's worse than Walmart as far as lingering people.

I have never had this problem at the BR Whole Foods or the one by my parents place in Nashville. Now the Nola Magazine location is a whole different beast. A few minutes in there will make one want to go postal.

You can't even get to things you need because of people just parking their carts in the middle of aisles and walk off. I thought it was fairly common knowledge to most that have been that whole foods is a madhouse often. Maybe I'm the only one stuck dodging people there, lol.

And I hate kids so work with me here

I can't handle Whole Foods because there's too many idiots who have never been in that type of grocery store just wandering around with massive buggies and children and whatever other loose baggage people like to carry.

You just need to go at a different time. I have been there during peak hours before and traversing the store was as hectic as Walmart, but most of the time I go later in the evenings and it's not bad at all.

That happens in every decent sized grocery store out there. I think you simply haven't had enough shopping experience yet in your short life. You're describing every day real life stuff here. Hopefully, you'll grow out of it or you could always hire a personal shopper.

Stay away from parks, zoos, movie theatres, playgrounds.... I'm not working with anyone who "hates" kids.

I think it would be better if the prepared foods section/dining was more separated. The baked goods and cheese and wine are plopped right in the middle of people ordering sandwiches and coffee and noodle bowls

God you can't even take a joke. Never mind.

You'd fit in well on the OT with the age jabs when you disagree with someone though.

Clearly, twenty-two years is not NEARLY enough time to have been to grocery stores. I must have only been to a handful and cannot possibly determine whether one is more hectic than another.

If you're going with someone and you both can eat a fair amount get all 3 sandwiches and split them.

If you're going alone, oh well.

I'd say get 2 in that case.
-The turkey and brie (fig spread as well)
and
-the mushroom and goat cheese one (also has pesto and roasted tomatoes)
