Heading to Denver on Saturday for a short trip to catch a show at the Ogden Theater that night. We are staying at the Courtyard Denver Downtown.
Requesting recommendations for a nearby brewery to do some pre-game day drinking. I see Rock Bottom and Jagged Mountain are both close. Either of those any good?
Also, any restaurants in that immediate area worth checking out for dinner?
Thanks!

Pass on Rock Bottom. Chain restaurant/brew pub.
Too many other good beer options down there.
I've heard Jagged Mountain is good.
Freshcraft for food and good beers
Falling Rock - one of the top beer bars in the country
Ohter breweries in the area worth checking out:
Great Divide, Wynkoop, Ratio, Our Mutual Friend
It's easy to walk around downtown, and you can use the 16th Street Mall Ride to ride up and down 16th for free. Helps cut down on some walking.

We did lunch at Rock Bottom while in Denver last summer, the food was just standard bar food, similar to a Chilis, and the beers we tried were nothing special. It's a cool spot to sit outside, grab a bite, have a few beers, and people watch. I'd pass on it though and go elsewhere if you can.
Our favorites we visited while in Denver was Ratio Beerworks and Epic Brewery, which look to be about a 1.5 mile walk from your hotel, never did try Jagged Mountain.
Crooked Stave was another we had heard great things about but never made it there.

Just walk to Falling Rock Taphouse for beer. And Great Divide is pretty close as well. Don't do Rock Bottom.

Another vote for great divide.
Pick me up a few of their yeti brews while you're there.

Looks like Great Divide, Epic, and 10 Barrel are all in close proximity in the River North Arts District. Pretty cool area of town.

cherry creek on Blake across from Coors Field has a great burger and an excellent beer selection. Cool looking place too

I don’t remember how long of a walk it is from downtown, but I had a great meal at Work and Class when I was there.

Try Euclid Hall...it's a few blocks over, but damn good.

Another group flying up to see Steven Wilson in Denver. Doing same thing.

La Loma is a solid downtown Mexican spot. It never disappoints.
