Do you like Reubens? Are you in Lake Charles on a Friday?

Sorry- fat fingered.

Paul's Ribshack on Nelson Rd. has Reubens on Fridays. I've been eating them all my life. It's my favorite sandwich. (number 2 is a good French Dip)

Paul's Reuben is the best I can ever remember having. Their corned beef is out of this world.

ETA: Once again, I couldn’t finish it

My wife ordered me the Reuben making kit from Katz Deli in NYC earlier this month for my birthday. Katz is seriously legit.

Yes. Unfortunately no.

I love a good Reuben. Especially a pastrami Reuben.m (whatever jewish name you wanna give it)

My favorite is at NY Bagel in BR.

Stein’s in New Orleans is good but I always Get the SAM which has Coke Slaw and pastrami instead.

Had Katz for the first time a last year...was so disappointing. Honestly thought Stein’s blew them out the water.

Paul’s Ribshack is one of the few things I miss about LC.

It looks good and I'd eat every last crumb, but I wish that cheese was melted a little bit.

I enjoy a Reuben about once a year. But aren’t they supposed to be hot/warm? The picture doesn’t look like the bread is crisp nor is the cheese melted?

The cheese is on top of the sauerkraut, so no, it doesn’t melt. The marble rye is lightly toasted. They make the sandwich in front of you and the slices of their homemade corned beef are thick and juicy. Like I said , I’ve been eating Reuben’s for most of my life (almost 50). If it’s on your menu, I’m going to try your iteration of it.

Katz’s Deli in Houston was holding pretty steady in the top spot for me. It has been dethroned.

Also, their smoke Gouda Mac n’ Cheese is good shite.

I don’t like their version of baked beans though- that’s the only thing I’ve had there that I haven’t cared for.

Especially a pastrami Reuben

Venison or goose pastrami puts a whole notha level of flavor on a good pastrami Reuben. This thread made me pull a roast out to cure for pastrami.
