re: Do you bring your own lunch to work?

When I eat lunch I bring it. My lunch break isn't long enough for me to actually go out.
When I don't bring my lunch it's because I'm too hungover to want food.

Its a pain to go to my job's cafeteria during lunch so, we all end up lunch boxing it for lunch.

Do you eat in the gym bleachers or in the field behind the T building?

Eating out for lunch = less beer money soI normally eat out 1 time per 2 weeks. I plan meals around leftovers and will sometimes cook 2 meals per night. I just finished a kale, carrot and sausage pasta for Thursday and Fridays lunch.
We also being out own breakfast as well. Either frittata cups or fruit and yogurt.
Our big night to eat out is Friday nights. Many times that just involves picking up food.

The good thing about living 2.5 miles from the office is that I just go home for lunch.

If I am in the office, I am almost always bringing lunch to work. We will have meals catered and vendors taking us out a lot but unless I know that is happening, I am bringing my lunch. I just can't justify spending $10-15/day on lunch.
I understand the "get out of office to keep my sanity" thought but I usually just wait til 1-2pm when the break rooms are empty to go chill out for an hour or so. I will say that if I was in a situation where I couldn't find a place that was empty to eat everyday I may change my position.

this. who wants to eat a cold sandwich when you can get out of the office for an hour and get a nice meal
1. Saves a lot of $$$$
2. I can justify leaving work earlier if I work through lunch.
3. Many times my leftovers are better than want I would get for lunch.
I eat out maybe twice a week. One day it will be fast food, the other is walking down to a little unknown food spot that does a nice burger and philly cheese steak.

I used to, but I hate making small talk with the people I work with, so I go get something healthy out of the office

I go to sams club and buy precooked grilled chicken and steamers
like 10 bucks for the chicken and 6 bucks for the veggies and it lasts me for lunches for two weeks
nobody....nobody at my office eats cheaper than I do

I walk downstairs and have lunch in my own kitchen. My office is in my home. I'm having scrambled eggs by the pool right now and putting out email/text fires. Business breakfast.

bringing lunch/breakfast is probably the single easiest thing a person can do to save money.
