Always have the basic, mayo, sweet pickled relish, salt and pepper. Any recommendations to add would be welcomed.

Separate ideas, not all in one batch of deviled eggs!
Chow chow instead of sweet pickle relish.
Sliced, pimento stuffed green olive topping.
Finely diced tasso.
Green onion.

Add micro sliced chives, or a thin sliced , stuffed olive as a topper, or a small dollop of caviar as a garnish.

Try pickling your eggs first. Just for a couple of days. Also makes the best egg salad this way too

Bacon crumbs
This. The bacon flavor, salt from the bacon, and the crunch make deviled eggs way better.

I made some with finely chopped shrimp and a little red pepper added. They were really good.

I always add a little white vinegar and sugar to add some extra tangy and sweet flavor.

A trash can to store them in.

Agree that devilled eggs need some acid...whether lemon juice, vinegar, or pickle brine.

I've had deviled eggs with various ingredients and determined that my favorite is the plain old every day deviled egg without the bells and whistles. Love them.

After boiled and peeled, smoke them whole for 20 min.
Seriously. Everyone loves them.

Agree. My second favorite and right up there, is one someone makes when I go home to La for Thanksgiving. They take the egg yokes and mix them with thousand island salad dressing. That's it. Just mix in the dressing until you get the flavor you like.
One of the girls warned that the countrified locals would not approve. BS, that version of DE's became the most requested and the maker became the designated deviled egg provider for our large group.
