I'm really going to like Theos when I get home from the bar tonight and have those leftover slices waiting for me

Only saw neighborhood guidelines, not budget. I'm not lobbying for the place. I would go to Ancora, and may actually do that.

LT, is just a place not mentioned here and I thought it would be a good suggestion.

I hear ya. I would certainly give that place a try.

I like Theo's a lot, don't know what the hate is about

the hate is about the fact that the crust is terrible and the cheese they use is dense and greasy and lacking flavor.

Is Ancora worth the price?

I think it is. They have the best crust in the city, IMO. Toppings can be great to mediocre depending on what you get. I would avoid drinking there though while you eat or your bill will get expensive quick.

and I don't know of any pizza joint on Frenchman. isn't there one that runs out of a fricking pickup truck or something?

I was thinking of Desperado's but according to Yelp it's closed.

I swear, most pizza tastes the same to me.

Last I had was Pizzicare. Liked it.

Nino's is my usual preference, but Midway's thick crust is good for a change of pace.

Pizza prices aren't that high IMHO. Like most places the drinks will get you. I still think it's the best in town.

R2R, I have 3 tics but I'm not going. She roped you?

Their specials, rotating apps and anti pizza is good too.

I want to try that place on Tulane.

I had a bad experience with Theo's Reginelli's is my go to.

I like Venizia's and Katy's as well, but rarely order pizza when I eat there.

I will never go there again, just because it is not true Chicago style.

NY Pizza is a personal favorite. Slice is a close second.

Desperado's been closed for several months. But, that building is where the Frenchman St version of Boucherie is going to open.

I assume you mean the restaurant? I'm not a big fan of NY Pizza. I used to go often years ago but have stopped going. I think it's more the rest of the local pizza world growing up then their failure.

Yeah, kind of bummed me out the first time I went, but I accept what it is now.

Glad somebody shares the same taste in pizza. The $5 slice and pint deal in the Bronx bar is a steal. Start many a drinking nights off there.

I wrote a fairly long critique on the paper table cloth. I feel they should have a Chicago style option. I don't think it would be a major issue to try it and see if people like it.
