Decided I'm going to pick up a pie tonight, maybe on the way home after work. I want to try something new but really good. Of course, I've eaten Domenica, Ancara, Theo's, Slice (although it's been awhile for Slice and it could be in the running).
Soooo . . . what should I try? Should be either in the CBD/WHD, Lower Garden District, Uptown and maybe as far as Carrollton/Oak.
What are we missing that we should give a try?

My personal favorite is Venezia.

Ninos is sub par, especially in the cleanliness department. Pizza Delicious is head and shoulders above it, and well worth the drive to Bywater.
Not a fan of Slice, the crust is mediocre.
Venezia is borderline terrible....stuck in some sort of time warp.
In the area you describe, how about Ciros Cote Sud on Maple St? Good pizza, and other stuff too.

Yeah but in the OP he limited it to certain neighborhoods. So stay within the parameters of the thread bro!

Agreed. And I'm not a fan of their toppings.

Never been.

Haven't been there, but that reminds me of Fresco. I like their pie alright. It's a better version of Theo's.

I had Theo's last night just because it's convenient. Didn't feel like waiting an hour for Lazaro's, which is usually my go-to.

I hear ya.. I just can't stand Theo's. It's pretty sad when the salads are better than the pizza.
frick I forgot about that place too. I really need to step up my pizza game in Nola. lots of places I'm behind on.

In Warehouse, I am hearing good things about Leonardo's Trattoria. Haven't been but good reports.
Right next to Herbsaint. FYI

It's a hole in the wall run by a bunch of stoners, but they make a pretty good pie.
I picked up Pizzicare a few weeks ago and it was decent, but again, nothing great.
All I want is a NY style pizza place where I can get a big arse pepperoni pizza with crisp, foldable crust.

Tower or Brooklyn out in Metry brah! I like Tower better because it's not as greasy .. but both are good and both are that style. Personally, that's my favorite style of pizza too, outside of a true Italian pie.

Haven't tried Brooklyn, but I am a huge fan of Tower of Pizza. It's just an old school no frills pizza joint.

I picked up a pizza from the Tulane Midcity location. Will not go back. Pizza crust was burnt, sausage was not very good and too greasy.

whew, $13 bucks for a basic margherita is pretty steep. hope it's a large pie. rest of the pizza and the menu sound good though.

Only saw neighborhood guidelines, not budget. I'm not lobbying for the place. I would go to Ancora, and may actually do that.
LT, is just a place not mentioned here and I thought it would be a good suggestion.
Think I bought you some freedom tonight, R2R.
