Wife told me Dearmans caught fire last night, but I havent seen anything about it. Was it bad?

Havent been to Dearmans in years. Seems my wifes childhood nostalgia was better than my experiences later in life. Regardless, hope their business is ok....

The burgers and fries are decent but their chocolate malt shakes are outstanding

WAFB just said that the fire is true, expecting $500k in damage. That has to be a total loss...

When they opened the new 19th Judicial District Courthouse, a lot of people got excited when they learned that Dearman's would be opening a location inside.

Then it opened, and it served as proof that it was all nostalgia, that that food was only mediocre on their best day. With no nostalgia at the new location, everyone was like WTF is this trash?

Drastically inflated prices didn't help either.

the place needed a makeover but this disappoints me. Hope the old flat top can be salvaged.

The burgers, fries, and sodas they serve today are not the same as the ones I ate weekly during the 80's and 90's. Five Guys burgers kinda remind me of the old Dearman's burgers. Their fries were similar to Georges. The cokes had a rich sugary taste to them. Man I miss that place. I remember going there on Saturdays reading comics while my lunch was cooking.
