Pretty much anywhere named so far would be a good choice.

Nash's in Broussard.
Italian, seafood, and steaks.
Old Acadian style home.
Great atmosphere.

Thank to all for the suggestions. Think I'm gonna try La Pagua. Truth be told, that's as much for the nostalgia of being in the shopping center again. 20+ years ago I used to work at the Alfalfa Video which was right next door to the restaurant.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Places that haven't been mentioned yet...
The food at Bon Temps is always good, but it's more of a casual place instead of somewhere you'd take to impress a date.
I would recommend Blu Basil if you haven't been yet. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a big city, the service is fantastic, and the food is very good.
Village Cafe has good food and would be a great date spot, but it's a little pricey if you're on a budget. You get what you pay for though.

Degas, thanks for mentioning Blu Basil. Menu looks awesome. My husband wouldn't eat anything there, so it will have to be lunch or dinner with one of my girlfriends.

Bring him, get something like the spare rib rice plate, simple and not "wtf is this". Coming from someone who's a bit hesitant when it comes to trying new Asian food we went a few weeks ago and this was what I had and loved it. I'll definitely go again, this time with a bit more open mind and knowing what to expect.
