I'm looking for some place new or different my wife and I haven't been to. Not looking for fried seafood but other than that no real preference.

We enjoy Marcello's, done Social, Ruffino's, most of the older obvious places and stuff like Zea's, etc.

Anyone been to some place new or off the beaten path that might be worth a try?

Not a special occasion...just some no kids allowed alone time...

Thanks.

shade tree cafe, but its in broussard.. I wouldnt consider it date night because you have to sit outside but its off the beaten path and the food is excellent.

Not new or off the beaten path, but Pamplona is our go to date spot.

You'll likely get better responses on the F&D board.

Some of our favorites:
La Pagua
Acme Taco
Agave, food is decent but I've used their drink specials on Mondays and Thursday to get the girlfriend drunk for cheap.
LaFondas, same as above
Clemintines in New Iberia is worth the drive
Blue Dog
Riverside
Romacellis

There's a ton of good options around.
