Problem #1 for the day. I'm not sure I can get good sausage here in Auburn. Do I roll with somethign from Kroger/Publix or try out the Meat Lab's sausage on Campus.

For a crawfish boil, grocery store sausage will work just fine.

Just get some decent pork sausage. It'll take on the flavor of the boil to an extent.

You gotta get more complicated...if you have a cooler full of pork, you need to throw a Boston butt in the boil - after you're done with the crawfish - and let it come to temp.

And a pro tip - if this really is your first boil - no amount of soap and scrubbing will get your hands perfectly clean for, um, the more "delicate" areas.

Came here for this and pics of the wife. She's already an OT6 regardless of looks. If she's half way decent and likes sports and the outdoors, that's OT8-10.

Here's one for you. My 6ft folding table is at the Lake. Will a 4ft folding table hold a sack?

It'll fit. I always have a second person with the paddle on the other side of the table making sure nothing rolls off as I'm dumping the crawfish.

I did buy trays. But I was going to dump them on the table. I don't know if the trays are for eating on or holding carcases I'm just winging it here buying anything that might look useful. Guess I'll dump in a cooler and eat off of the trays. I grew up in AL/TN this crawfish stuff is a foreign concept to me

Dunno how available this is to you but a large crate like these will work. Or you can just use soft drink cardboard crates.

It will hold crawfish in an area

you dont have to dump the whole sac on the table at once...

dump half and stick the paddle diagonally in the pot and this will allow you to put the basket back in the pot without having to soak in the water again

I just came up with an idea for a product. Imagine a hook kind of like what you would use on a peg board. You take the basket out of the pot put these hooks into the holes of the strainer and it would allow you to set the strainer on top of the pot. Anyone make something like this? Cause if they don't they need to.

Visual example below for OP. This is also how I let the crawfish cool off

OP, trust us this works. You will have a puckered butthole when you first do it but its actually very sturdy
