Forgive me if this has been covered, but a TD search turned up nada.

Anyone have experience with these jetted water buckets that "wash" crawfish? Sure looks like they get them clean on the outside, but does it do anything for cleaning the crawfish innards?

Christmas is coming, and if this is not worth the money and effort, I'll get a small Blackstone grill for the patio.

Thanks!

Gave one to the father in law. Worth it. Cleanest crawfish I’ve ever had

You can get a better price than that link

Just sent a email to see if they sell wholesale.

Ice chest works...but that seems to allow for some more beer drinking time.

Can someone explain why a plastic tub and a couple fittings is worth $90? What’s so special about this thing?

Does a tilted ice chest with the water spout open and a hose not work for y’all? How about a simple bucket and basket with multiple water changes?

I gave one to my son-in-law last year and he loved it. Crawfish came out much cleaner than conventional method of just hosing in a tub! The jetting allow for a more agitated cleaning.

MAP pricing is the 69$ from the academy link so you won’t see it listed lower online. If there is enough interest for the minimum I could beat that a little with a discount code I’d provide. It’s also the same thing, just different color, of the large game washer so you can use for anything you want to clean crawfish, deer, pig, fish, ducks, ya kids

I do mine in a ice chest, no salt lol. While it works fine you do have to mess with it, crawfish crawl out, hole gets clogged. Not a big deal really but this things looks like more set and forget. Guy told me he says 10min per sack but reports are more like 5min.

I bought the big and small at a sportsman's show. They suck and not worth the money. The washer uses way too much water and unless you are washing directly over a drain, you're gonna have flooding.

man, maybe you should investigate so see if all the people south of the the protection system are using these. Might be the cause of your flooding.

Gotta devein for that.

The washing bucket with the whirlpool absolutely works to rid the crawfish of dirt, debris, or anything else that may find its way into the bag. Its the whirlpool (centrifugal force) that pulls everything out and works better than just washing off in the ice chest.

I've got a large galvanized washtub I've had for over 30 years that has washed thousands of pounds of crawfish. Put some water in the tub, add a bit of salt, put in the crawfish and make sure they are covered in water, pour it off when dirty and add more water while the pot comes to a boil. Nothing fancy and works like a charm.

Not talking a massive amount of salt, but enough to help clean out their innards. Been doing this my whole life so far and simply followed what I learned from my elders at the time. I've not had any issues with dying crawfish like some folks claim.
