Hello all,

Will be heading into Louisiana in a few weeks with my son to do a crawfish tour, we plan on hitting up a few restaurants, boil places, etc. unfortunately I haven’t lived in Louisiana since 95 so i don’t know where to go.

We will be heading through Shreveport, down to Lafayette into bureaux bridge, and then to Baton Rouge. Can you folks recommend some great places to get boiled crawfish? Don’t want Chinese or Vietnamese type crawfish but actual Louisiana crawfish.

Cost is no problem but I do just want the best tasting.

Always heard Crawfish Hole #2 outside of Bossier was good. Haven’t been.

Should you decide to route east ,consider Cormiers , Riverside Coney Island, and Crawfish City in Monroe/West Monroe.

In a few weeks it’s stll a little early for good crawfish. Should check the places on your route to make sure they have them.

Tony’s in Baton Rouge - pick up then drive to a park somewhere. Had some the other day and they were good but still small and $5.00 lb. I normally wait until April.

Tony's is an incredible seafood market, with live catfish that they clean in front of you. Well worth a stop.

Hawks,Richards, Cajun Claws Abbeville and Dwight’s in Lafayette along with Crawfish Time Ridge Road Lafayette. For an operating farm by Lafayette, Kevin’s and/or Hanks for the kids to see. Also load the Crawfish app for current locations, availability and prices in the area you are located.

I was there the other day when the 18 wheeler pulled up next to the front door and they opened the steel wall and let the live catfish go into the tanks. That’s fun to watch. Or get the Vietnamese lady to guy and scale a red snapper. That’s worth the watch too.

Plus the crawfish are perfect every time.

Crawfete is back on this year at Perkins Rowe.
Sunday the 24th. I think they’re up to 15 competitors just in the boil competition as of today.
