Finally took pics this time
Figgy Foast app: blue cheese toast served with fig and red wine andouille.
Easily could have been my meal. Sweet, savory, sharp and cool all in one bite.
And of course my fav burger in nola: cooked med add white cheddar and bacon onion red zin compote spread.
For me it's almost the perfect burger.

Coincidentally, my wife and I went to Cowbell just last night. We had a brussel sprout appetizer (with marcona almonds, red flame grapes and smoked bacon).
Then we had the burger. It still ranks among the top 3 in town, imo.

I love cowbell! Haven't had the figgy toast yet, but that looks amazing. My wife isn't a fan of blue cheese, but I might have to get an order for myself
Their adult grilled cheese, chili fries, and Mac n cheese are all top notch too.

I thought the mac and cheese was an overrated $9 pile of garbage, but the burger was on point, so there's that.

That figgy toast looks scrumptious. The tomato on the burger looks sad. Too pink.

I noticed about the tomato's color as well. But would still destroy that burger. Love Cowbell! Sauces rock.

Never had the toast. Sadly, I never order anything except a burger at Cowbell. I need to force myself to order something else next time.

To all the foodies who take pics, I appreciate it, but not every single shot has to be the money shot. Get back about 10" and take a shot of the entire plate instead of a close up everytime. I find alot of people do this and it makes some very appealing food look less appetizing being so close.

If I took a pic farther away on both app and burger it wouldn't look as appealing and kind of bland. The close up pic of the app shows the browning of the blue cheese and chunks of andouille sausage. Had I taken it farther away you wouldn't see the detail.
