like everything else...how much do you want to spend?

On the high end, but I'd recommend a Jura.

Not going to get any good info here, we are only good at the "Ford, GMC or Dodge?" thing.

I suggest trying the Food and Drink board. I've ask a few questions over there and they are very helpful.

I don’t have a grinder on mine.

Recently I upgrade from a $14 Mr Coffee to a Black And Decker with a clock.

It was free as I found in a mini storage I seized when I use to be in that business.Brand new in box.
Loaded with Extra Dark Roast Community. You can’t get and I don’t think you can show me a better cup.

All that extra fancy stuff is hype.

I have this one and love it (Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind-and-Brew Coffee Maker), purchased at Bed, Bath & Beyond.

No, don’t buy one with a built-in grinder. Buy a decent Burr grinder & nice drop maker like a BonaVita ($150) or higher end TechnaVorm $300. The key is to find a drip that heats water to proper gold cup standard temp, so it doesn’t get too hot (burnt taste) or under temp (sour).

I also have a Nespresso Virtuo and it’s the best for single serve pod espresso or decent Italian coffee.

I had a cuisinart that legitimately lasted about 10 years. It still worked when I gave it away. It was much more convenient than my current set up (French press), but the coffee wasn’t as good.
