Doing a shrimp taco, but those darn things are still out of season for us.

How did the tortillas come out and how much work were they?

I realize this question wasn’t directed at me, but we do tortillas from scratch a lot, and it makes a huge difference. It really isn’t all that much work, either. Just mix the ingredients, let it sit for a half hour, roll into balls, flatten, and throw on a pan for a minute or two on each side.

Not much work at all and they turned out great. I bought a cast iron press off amazon last week. Just used the masa mix from WM, add water and salt.

I’d like to try some flour ones next time, with lard.

Thanks, guys.

I have a place down the block that makes the best corn tortillas I’ve ever had, but they don’t sell them as a broken out item. I’ve been thinking about trying my own.

Yes! Some places will sell them too. Superior does.

Did some tacos de camarones for lunch. Dressed with hot sauce, cilantro lime crema, crumbled cotija, and lettuce.

Got some skirt steak sitting in a jalapeño lime marinade. Will throw on the grill later for tacos.

I am obviously embracing the Mexican culture with this meal.

Making chicken fajitas and some grilled zucchini here shortly. Currently sucking down some fresh squeezed margaritas made with key limes and Kirkland Silver which is some damn fine mixing tequila. Salud!!

Time for dinner. Doing some duck I shot this last season.

This EVOO is to kill for. Found it the other day at my butcher and it will be a mainstay.
