I can't help you. When I visit I seem to find myself up in the Vietnamese places which are pretty good in that city.

Then what's the point in getting Chinese food?

I'm gonna have to go with Hunan Chinese Restaurant. I think they only have the buffet for lunch.

We love Thai Chili... Good Thai food, but very high quality chinese food. It's better than most in the city.

Omi is great for authentic chinese, as well.

Nine Dragon Noodle House at Highland (not Nine Dragon on Burbank) or Omi. Omi was fantastic a few years ago but I've noticed some inconsistent quality lately. Nine Dragon Noodle House is consistently great. You guys that love Omi should really give it a shot.

Omi. Northern style Chinese food. It is the best Chinese in town by a mile.

EDIT: Guy above is right about 9 Dragon Noodle House on Highland and Lee being good. Great food. Super friendly people. Strange menu items.

If you go the Omi route I would advise no one from your party bother with the Japanese menu. Unless they've upped their game recently its the worst Japanese food I've ever eaten.
