I love chicken salad. But I dont care for the fruity nutty kind.

Chicken, mayo, diced onions, pickle, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Served on some toasted sour dough - sometimes with lettuce and tomato.

Depends on the day

I've had very good chicken salad made either way.

By and large, without. But from time to time, I enjoy different stuff

And you have the nerve to complain about people liking fruit and nuts in the chicken salad?

I like grapes and pecans, just not in chicken salad. I assume you dont like pickles on anything.

You've described my lunch for the past three days. Not a big fan of the additions either.

I don't always do it, but I like red grapes in my chicken salad from time to time. I feel like I only do it when I'm using leftover grilled/smoked chicken, I think I like the sweet with the smoky

Only women at a garden party screw up chicken salad with fruits and nuts. Lots of minced celery, onion and olives. Savory, not sweet.

I don't think I've ever had chicken salad with olives, but I could get on board with that. Do you use green olives?

I can do celery, not sure about olives. Would have to try. Seems like it would over power the flavor.

Both ways, though I usually make it without. I use pickle relish rather than pickles and Dijon mustard with mayonnaise, celery, purple onions, splash of white vinegar for brightness, range of spices depending on mood. I have had it with apples instead of celery, which was surprisingly good.

Add celery and grapes, remove the pickle and nuts.
