Yeah, CFA became America's most beloved quick service restaurant because we just want to go along with our wives?

Nor do wives really think CFA is "healthy" in my experience, but you are close to the cultural aspect of CFA that is a huge portion of it's success...

In the South especially, if you bring home a bag of CFA to your family for dinner, nobody thinks you're being fat or trashy or gross (or not many, anyway). Try that with Popeyes or Wendy's.

People may think it's less processed and/or modestly more healthy than those places, and perhaps that's somewhat true, but I don't think many are deluding themselves that it's healthy.

I have never paid attention to this dude as a poster. I might have to start. He seems quite entertaining.

Even though both are basically chicken only fast food establishments, I honestly never mentally put them in the same boat.

If I'm feeling a chicken sandwich, I go to CFA. If I'm feeling more of a complete meal, I go Canes.

I also don't understand the Canes hate. It's tasty for fast food.

ETA: What one of these establishments need to do is get their management team to run Popeyes. That place with Canes/CFA management and workers...my God.

For sure. Eating their chicken alone is meh. But to be honest, there's a reason people get pissed when they get home from most fast food places and there's no sauce in the bag

I love Taco Bell, but if I don't have sauce with it, the food is exponentially less enjoyable. I don't knock Taco Bell for that, because the food pairing with their sauces are awesome (for fast food and for my drunk arse). Same with Canes, for me anyways.

Eh, Taco Bell is still pretty good without their sauces. Canes literally needs the sauce to even be considered decent, big difference .

Eta: people aren't going to taco bell for the sauce. They are going to canes for the sauce, it just happens to come with a side of chicken

Canes sauce is better than chik-fil-a’s version, but chik has a bunch of other good options.

Canes has better tenders, but chik has nuggets that are awesome plus the spicy sandwich that’s miles ahead

Maybe because there’s zero tasty. And before you say the sauce, I judge fried chicken by itself. If I have to dip it in something to make it have flavor, then something’s wrong. I don’t mind dipping it, but when the sauce is the requirement, then that means the chicken itself is garbage.
