AdWeek’s David Griner points out that this is “an ad that celebrates sexual innuendo in the workplace.” It’s also particularly inappropriate in light of the #MeeToo movement and the recent national conversation about sexual harassment and hostile work environments
God damn I hate culture in 2018.

People are way too fricking sensitive

You didn't quote the most important part of the article. The part where the author just flat arse makes shite up.
Honestly, who thinks Jack is just being Jack and the situation is going over his head (just as in every other ad he does) versus him being a trickster to exert inappropriate sexual dominance?
quote:
Both Jack in the Box and the agency that created the ad, David & Goliath, stand by the commercial, telling AdWeek in a joint statement, “This ad is not diminishing any movement, and we stand firmly against any form of harassment and value those who have the guts to combat it.”
quote:
That statement doesn’t hold water, though, because the entire premise of the ad — the joke — is that Jack’s employees are being tricked by their male boss into parroting a sexual innuendo that reinforces his dominant status in the workplace.

Seems pretty harmless to me.

That's exactly it. That's the whole point of the end of the commercial. He doesn't see the joke of bowls=balls. If people can't see that, then they are dumb and have no sense of humor.

Honestly I’m pretty sure the idea that people are offended by the commercial is being generated by Jack in the Box to get people to watch the ad. I don’t think anyone is actually offended by this

Informative, to the point and straight forward. Apparently they have a pretty good grasp on their bowls.

Exactly. The ad is great.

That was my first thought, but that article doesn’t seem made up.

That guy needs to grow a pair of bowls

Does it matter if it is made up? It is a jackass writer who can't make up a good story before their deadline. So they pull out the easiest stuff in the book to make their quota.

I kinda like Jack in the Box, as far as fast food goes. I like the variety of food on their menu, unlike a place like 5 guys. I mean none of them have bowls.

Does the writer of this article realize that they are talking about a boss who has the head of a literal clown.
Contemplate your life man.

Why not talk about hairy/saggy/blue/lick my...bowls.
Doesn't sound too appetizing.
Seems like I remember, years ago, that the first ingredient in potted meat was teats.

Eater is such a freaking joke. They took the leap into identity politics a while ago and it’s all crap like this now.
