Genuine question: has anyone ever had a bad chargrilled oyster that didn’t literally make them ill?

They aren’t exactly hard to do well. And I’m sitting here thinking about different restaurants, and I can’t think of anywhere I had them that was markedly different than anywhere else

I have done them for out of town family before and it blows their mind, they act like I am Gordon Ramsey. Oysters, garlic, a gallon of butter, Parmesan cheese and bread that’s it.

Forgot the name of the vendor at Lafitte Seafood festival this year but they were bad, didn't make me sick but tasted no butter, no garlic, cheap shredded parmesean that wasn't melted, cold oyster and a mound of fake tasting bacon bits. Not to mention they weren't even cooked in the shell.
