Many people post what they've cooked in the WFDT every night. Some of it looks incredible. They recognize that there doesn't need to be a thread every time they cook. And when they want to discuss whatever they cooked, THEN they start a thread.
Exactly. And there is no discussion...MD post then sits back and watches. At least be involved

And I respectfully disagree. I hope more people will follow his lead and post more of their recipes. Just because they aren't haute doesn't mean that other people couldn't learn or benefit from them.

Exactly. He knows that there's a bastion of folks here that will cry like babies when their beloved way of cooking their "home-grown" dishes are bastardized. Good for him. He likes it. Doesn't mean you have to. Nevermind the fact that he posts more how-to threads than most of you "experts" have ever even dared. Looking right at you, R2R.
Yeah bro, quantity over quality .. That's what makes a good message board poster. And where have I ever claimed to be an expert on anything? You call me out because I'm an easy poster boy for the things you dislike, regardless of if any of those criticisms are founded in reality. Get your head out of your arse.

First, I'm not your bro.
You should take your own advice. Because you surely have quantity over quality. And I have read plenty of your "expert" opinions. You should get your head out of your arse, as your exploits are all you ever talk about on here. Sadly, much less your cooking.

Slap on a ton of mustard, add your seasoning and fry.
I've eaten a lot of fried fish. Catfish, perch, bream, bass, redfish, trout, buffalo (

Keep the fish and "stew" separate and I'd eat it. Together, no thanks. The only soggy fried fish I like is Chinese style

Mustard battered catfish is great.
I'm not sure about the fried fish stew but I would try it.
And MD is a troll.

I know it's been said many times before and you knew it before then, but you can cook your arse off and you shoot some great pics too!!!

Well I'd try it. And for all the haters I'm assuming no one has ever ordered/cooked/ eaten fried catfish smothered with étouffée or redfish/catfish courtbouillion or even fried chicken gumbo most of which can be found in any many south Louisiana restaurants?
Whether you like the guy or not isn't relevant but to just pile on is pretty much pack dog mentality. I'd be willing to bet if I'm cooking this dish and put it in front of you at the camp everyone would try it. Like it or not is a different thing.
I'm not a coon arse. I'm just a south Louisiana man but many of my Cajun friends would be embarrassed to here their self proclaimed brethren acting like they are gods gift to food because pow pow was from Mamou.
As I said in another thread, it's not food snobs, it's food assholes.

I love all the people acting like he ruined catfish
catfish is fricking disgusting and the only way it is edible is to disguise it in some type of stew/soup

Just like you aren't supposed to post every thought that comes into your head on the OT, it's not the norm to post every meal you cook on the F&D Board.
I love the board police. If you don't like a thread, don't click on it. It's not like this board is filled with such interesting topics that he is pushing good threads to the next page. Some of you just have too much to say.
I wouldn't eat that shite either, but I don't feel the need to tell him that either. I just move along.
