Who has had Carib beer? What were your thoughts on it?

Do any of you know if there is a place in BR or NOLA that sells it? I'm sure I could order it online from them but that's probably gonna cost an arm and a leg

Had it on my honeymoon in Jamaica once. I'm not overly picky about beer, but Carib is straight up swill.

I had the same experience. It was supplied in the mini bar on my honeymoon at the resort. I could only drink it after having several other drinks first.

It is awful, but it will do in a pinch. I certainly wouldn't go looking for it.

I much prefer Kalik over Carib, but I also like both more than Red Stripe.

well kind of. people always start beer threads on the OT, then they get moved to the F&D board, and honestly, you will probably get more responses there, as most of the beer snobs (I'm looking at you rutiger and Boo) post over there

Nothing special, just cheap Caribbean beer. Certainly wouldn't pay a premium for it.

I find all of these Latin type brews similiar. Not much flavor and very light. Good with Mexican food, but if I'm looking for a good brew, this isn't what I would buy.

This

is a better beer, and that's not saying too much. Much like Nature Boy, I'm not overly picky about beer, but Carib is pretty bad.

This was my favorite beer from my honeymoon. Havent seen it anywhere in the states though.
It was definitely better than the local Antiguan brew, Wadadli.

My aunt's family (my mom's brother's wife) in Trinidad owns Carib.

So yeah, I'm a fan.
