Little confused on this one but maybe someone can explain it.

Canes on Drusilla currently has a limited menu due to Ida. Not sure if they are all doing this. 3 piece snack combo only - which is made up of chicken, fries, bread, and sauce. No limit on the number of snacks though.

Considering all other combos are made up of the same items, sans coleslaw, and are just a larger fry and chicken quantity, what would the reasoning be?

Cost per item goes down the larger the basket gets...

Not giving people a choice allows them to keep the lines moving as quickly as possible. Probably not a bad idea as they're probably getting slammed all day.

Makes sense. They probably had 10 pieces of paper all over the menu and covering each item except the Snack. Dude behind me still tried to order a Caniac.

It's weird.. Every FF place has been busier since Covid hit, but Canes has been far more noticeably so (CFA is packed also, but it always was).

Then since Ida, Canes is the only place I've seen totally blow up with lines pouring into the street like gas stations or something. We had to maneuver around the line on Lee/Burbank the other day to get into Our Mom's. Oddly enough, ordered a massive chicken tender basket for $8.99 at Our Mom's. Almost was tempted to go tell the people waiting forever at Cane's about it.

I couldn't imagine getting in line for Canes right now. The lines routinely block the street, sort of like how Popeyes has been ALL of covid1984

Canes on Drusilla

I am not sure about this location. Before all the pandemic started, I went there, only car in line, ordered Chicken for the kids, get to the window and they said " can you pull up, we will bring it out ".. I replied, what are you talking about there is no one behind me.. they again asked me to pull up and had another person come to the window.. once again I asked Why.. there was nobody in line and if there were everyone is getting Chicken, so I should get it first.. then one of them told me they needed to trip the sensor..... bottom line they want to trip the sensor to try and make their numbers look better, would not be surprised if that is what is going on now also

I just assumed they did the limited menu yesterday because one of the drive-thru lines wasn't working and they just wanted to speed the process up.

I always thought their full menu was a limited menu. I never get anything more than a few chicken fingers anyway. I remember the first time I went there and ordered a chicken sandwich and it was just three chicken fingers in a bun. That’s when I got it. I have no recollection of the fries.

I think it's terrible to the customers to not be able to run a business correctly. But...if they running the business under harsh conditions instead of closing, it is admirable.

I hope it's the latter and will give them the benefit of the doubt. With the hurricane and the covid scare, I give many places a lot of slack that I never would have before. It's kind of sad that this is what it has come to though.

I went today on the westbank and they had a 3 piece or the box combo. I mean what they left off, the 6 piece or the sandwich? I can't imagine not giving people more of a choice speeds things up since they only serve the same shite but different quantities
