My old cheap grocery store plastic one is needing replaced. Made up some patties last night to put in the freezer, and I'm just tired of the flimsy plastic. What does the FDB recommend?

I have this one. I use it when making diner style burgers. I like it.

Weston Burger Express Hamburger Press with Patty Ejector (07-0310-W), Makes 4 1/2" Patties, 1/4lb to 3/4lb

$21.59 on Amazon

I also have a box of Carnation Patty Paper - Box of 1000 Sheets: Single Box, 5.5" x 5.5" - Keeps everything clean and easy to pump them out if doing a big batch

i prefer thin crispy burgers so i put the patties between parchment paper and smash down with a steel baking pan or cast iron pan until they're super thin.

Smashed burgers are scientifically proven to have better taste and similar juciness when cooked correctly.

I have the same burger press. Much better than any hand formed patties.

Thin smash burgers rock, however, I'd suggest forming a loose ball and then smashing them directly onto your super hot pan. Not beforehand.

Yes this is the way to do it if you want thin.

I prefer em thick though.
