I’m looking for something that will make large parties, like 5” diameter of so. Non stick is preferable. Not big on stuffing or anything. Just a good press that can make a Port o Call size, standard party. Anybody have a reliable one to suggest?

What do you cook on? I do smash burgers on the griddle and they can be as large as you want them to be.

Mostly gas grill but sometimes charcoal. Mine just never come out right. Rarely cook on a griddle or flat surface

Buy a set of round food mold rings. One will be the size you need. Then you can use the ring size you desire and mold the burgers on a cutting board.

Just bought the same one last week... Question how do you make the burger thicker? My first attempt came out looking pretty weak.

Every dago I know just uses a big can of Bushs beans.

That's the same one I use. There is a wing nut on the top of of it that you loosen then you can unscrew the center part to make the patties thicker.

I use a lid from my crawfish seasoning container. Wax paper in lid, smash meat in wax paper, pull out and repeat.

Exactly. Play with that and get the thickness you like.

I also put cling wrap on top and bottom to keep it clean and I have a box of patty paper to make things easier and them from sticking together.

Looks like something I would buy and then forget about or not feel like washing after making burgers. I always just make patties by hand and then put a little divot in the middle to cook more evenly.

Use that press and use a sheet of parchment paper folded in half that covers the top and bottom of it. Keeps it pretty clean during the process.

I have that exact one as well. Loosen the wing nut to make thicker patties. Buy the burger paper on amazon as well to put on each side of the meat.

Very often I cook 10-20 burgers at a time and this is great to crank out uniform burgers with better quality beef than the grocery store pre-made patties.

Bought this one at Publix a few weeks ago.

You make the first one, stack another disc on top, and make the rest. I got 5 or 6 somewhat thicker patties in mine, using about 2.25-2.5 pounds of beef. Then you just lift the handles out and pop them loose one by one. Also good if you're going to freeze patties to use later. I just tossed the whole thing in the freezer and ended up cooking them about a week later. Took them out about 2-3 hours before I cooked them to let it thaw out some and help get them unstuck.
